Sheila Sturgis Craig’s career in social, health and human services extends across Texas and Louisiana. Her work includes consulting throughout the United States and Canada.
Through Sheila's leadership, equity work in Texas was established and became a national model leading equity work in the US and providing support and guidance to other states' equity efforts. Sheila also worked with the Ontario Association of Children's Aids Societies to implement the Texas Model.
Sheila has a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana.
Sheila is the author of the book "My Heart Speaks" and contributing writer in the book "Racial Disportionality and Disparities in the Child Welfare System." She is an influential leader, a motivational speaker, and presenter with local, state, national, and international organizations.
